Lesson 3: The Iliad

Lesson Objectives:

To see Achilles, not as a griping and deviant man, but a mistreated and traumatized soldier, a good person who, in the course of his journey, becomes bad before once again becoming good in time to die with honor; to clearly note the differences between Achilles and Hector; and appreciate the way in which warfare not only destroys human life but also gives it meaning and purpose.
